The Review of Federal Funding to Florida report is now available on the Legislative Office of Economic and Demographic Research's (EDR) website. EDR has assumed responsibility for producing this annual report from the former Legislative Committee on Intergovernmental Relations (LCIR). Its purpose is to provide Florida's federal, state, and local officials with a review of federal financial assistance given to Florida in federal fiscal year 2009 using data released by the U.S. Census Bureau. In particular, it focuses on federal grant expenditures to Florida's state and local governments. You can use the following link to access the analyses:

Building Citizenship in the Community: Back to BasicsThe Florida League of Cities has developed several
educational programs with the goal of increasing Floridians' understanding of city governments and the services they provide. This section contains links to the League's civic education publications and program information as well as to additional civic education resources. The focus of programs to date has been K-12 civics education. While most of the programs are geared primarily to the school setting, city officials are encouraged to promote them to their local schools as they will help students and teachers develop a better understanding of their city's functions and services.
First published in 1988, the
